Job Description:
Faculty position available in bioinformatics, biostatistics and/or computational science at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Appointment will be in the Calhoun Cardiology Center and the Department of Medicine.

Goals and Objectives:

The faculty member will perform research in areas of bioinformatics, genomic and phenotype data analytics and biostatistics. The research can be conducted collaboratively or independently or both. The faculty member is encouraged to collaborate with the UConn Storrs campus, Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine and other centers and departments in the School of Medicine. The individual will also participate in the new School of Medicine Curriculum as a preceptor, content expert or facilitator.

Requirements:

• Ph.D., M.D.or Sci.D in an area related to biostatistics, computational science and/or bioinformatics.
• A demonstrated research success, funding,and/or potential to obtain extramural funding support.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Potential to develop new areas or expertise or research.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
