Bioinformatics research projects at the University of Louisville currently underway fall into the broad categories of high-throughput sequencing analysis ; microarray and miRNA analysis; and computational and statistical approaches to understanding RNA regulatory networks. Basic Requirements:
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Strong programming skills
- Highly motivated, creative, and dedicated to project goals
- Able to work in close collaboration with a variety of biomedical and computational researchers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- At least two first-author papers published in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with high-throughput sequencing
- Experience with various bioinformatics platforms and languages (Linux, R, Python, MySQL, etc.)
