Job Description:
My client a well funded VC backed Biotech with an Immuno-oncology pipeline are looking for a number of Computational Biologist and Bioinformaticians. Responsibilities: -Design, model, and develop data management systems that integrate laboratory, operation, and research data. > -Design, build, improve, and maintain high performance and highly scalable data pipelines. Oversee transition of data pipelines to production and commercial settings and develop technology choices and development practices that support pipeline maturation. -Collaborate with data producers and research scientists to ensure that the data pipelines serve internal customer needs. -Collaborate with IT to ensure security, backup, and data recovery is maintained according to best practices and FDA data integrity and software validation guidelines. -Develop and implement a roadmap for establishing key software engineering functions within R&D with ability to support research, clinical, and manufacturing requirements. -Influence strategy and roadmap for building scalable data solutions and a scalable data warehouse environment. Research and assess the viability of new data management and processing technologies. Skills: -PhD computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics or other related disciplines. -Experience with the software development lifecycle and best practices, specifically in a validated environment. -Experience in development of databases and web applications in a team environment. Proficiency in SQL. Experience with Oracle/APEX preferred. -Deep knowledge of both academic and commercial informatics solutions -Broad knowledge of UNIX/Linux. Experience in HPC (Cluster) is highly desirable. -Solid programming skills and proficiency in Python, Java, Perl, and/or C/C++, R. -Ability to understand biological, laboratory, R&D, and clinical data
