Job Description:
We are seeking outstanding applicants for Postdoctoral positions to work on cancer genomic driven research under the supervision of Dr. Ken Chen (http://faculty.mdanderson.org/Ken_Chen/ ) in the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and in collaboration with the Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute for the Personalized Cancer Therapy at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. We aim to characterize the genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic profiles of the patient’s tumor and match with evidence-based targeted- and immuno- therapies (Personalized therapy of Cancer) for better outcomes.

We use computational means, through analysis of tissue or single-cell genomic profiles from next generation sequencing data based on proprietary cancer genome panels, whole exome and genome, transcriptome, DNA rearrangements and copy number and mass cytometry data.

Qualifications:

We are recruiting creative and enthusiastic recent PhD graduates, who are computational scientists with experience in automating biological analysis, as well as biologists or medical students with experience in performing computational analysis in data-driven research. Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Java, R, Matlab and experience in high performance computation are required, as well as at least 2 first author publications in peer reviewed journals. We offer a highly stimulating and collaborative environment, highly competitive salary, and benefits. Former trainees in the lab have published first-author papers in top journals such as Nature Methods and have secured leadership positions in either academia or industry.
