Job Description:
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral IRTA/Fellow to work at the Framingham Heart Study (FHS) and NHLBI’s Population Sciences Branch. The FHS is a long-running family-based epidemiology study with over 15,000 participants, and has collected large repositories of genotype and phenotype data and bio samples. Data include whole genome sequences (>4,200 participants), RNA and microRNA expression (>5,000 participants), epigenetic, proteomic, and metabolomic measurements, and longitudinal information all on participants.

Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. and demonstrated research experience in one or more relevant disciplines: statistical genetics, genomics, epigenetics, computational biology, bioinformatics, and/or systems biology. A proven track record of publications is expected. Experience in Population Research and/or large dataset analysis is highly desirable. Background in cardiovascular disease, epidemiology, big data and/or gene expression research will be viewed favorably.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The initial appointment will be for a minimum of 2 years, with appointment renewals possible. Appointees must be US citizens, resident aliens, or nonresident aliens with a valid employment visa.
