Job Description:
The DZNE in Bonn is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m) Code 1459/2017/4 to join the research group of PD Dr. Marc Beyer. The Beyer lab is interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms of immunoregulatory processes in T cells and myeloid cells and their influence on the development and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The lab is using modern single-cell Omics technologies (RNA & epigenome) as well as multi-parameter flow cytometry to characterize the contribution of T cells and myeloid cells to neurodegeneration using genetically modified mouse models. The application of modern genome editing technologies (CRISPR/Cas9), both for transcriptional reprogramming of cells as well as generation of mouse models, is a further focus of the group.

We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and self-motivated postdoc that will carry out research that contributes to the overall aims of the lab and would also assist in the overall organization of the lab.

Your Profile:

Well-organized and pro-active with a PhD in a relevant biomedical subject, preferably in the field of immunology, genomics or bioinformatics Experience in relevant immunological or genomic techniques Applicants should have basic skills in existing tools for genomic/transcriptomic/epigenomic analysis and some programming experience (R, Python, unix shell scripts) Prior experience with transgenic animal models or human material, flow cytometry, or next-generation sequencing Previous experience supervising junior staff will also be desirable Good communication and team-working skills Showing initiative and flexibility, also regarding working hours when required, will be desirable qualities.
