Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in Functional Genomics to work at the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute, University of Oxford. The successful candidate will work on projects spanning basic and clinical investigations, resulting in high profile collaborative publications. A key member of a recently formed Bioinformatics Hub, they will provide functional genomics expertise to support principal investigators and groups in the Institute.

The successful applicant will also receive a range of advanced training to build and extend their professional portfolio. Training will be tailored to the successful candidate but we envisage it will cover advanced computing, analytics of high dimensional datasets, and a broad range of technologies including genomics, proteomics and high-throughput cell screens. There will also be the possibility to acquire experience in teaching with a number of opportunities ranging from lecturing, and assisting in the organisation and delivery of workshops.

You will have a PhD in genomics, bioinformatics or computational biology alongside working knowledge of current genomic and functional high-throughput assays, and related analysis methods. Demonstrable experience in use and management of bioinformatics pipelines, preferably in the context of human disease and cancer, is also essential.

The position is full-time and is fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance.
