Additional Info:
ORACLE Cancer Research Cloud (OCRC) is an internal initiative to enable collaboration and accelerate research in cancer. A core goal of the OCRC initiative is to create a major inflection point in medical research, diagnosis, and treatment. This inflection point is based not on a single scientific discovery, but rather on the ability of the medical and scientific communities to integrate and share large complex datasets of biological knowledge. These datasets include models of molecular mechanisms of action and biological processes, multi-omics patient profiles, longitudinal patient data, and patient outcomes.

It is an extremely ambitious project that brings assets from across the corporation to provide researchers a private area for them to conduct their research and enable collaborations. The intention of the initiative is to not only provide the infrastructure to make research more efficient, but also to provide the means to improve patient outcomes based on the most current available research.

Our department will be driving the design, development, and delivery of the OCRC. We will be at the cutting edge of data acquisition, integration and analysis for all types of data necessary to support research, clinical, therapeutics, etc. We will leverage assets from inside and outside to company to ensure the best options are available to our constituents.

The precision medicine analytics group is focusing on interpretation of multi-omics data in clinical and translational research, and is working closely with diverse internal and external teams of researchers and clinicians from industry, research centers and hospitals to develop cloud based solutions for cancer patient diagnosis and treatment.
