Job Description:
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow. This Bioinformatics Scientist will work in a team environment studying tumor heterogeneity using whole genome sequencing and single cell sequencing approaches, among others. The project will focus on our funded NIH Cancer Systems Biology Consortium () program at City of Hope and provide exciting opportunities to engage with top scientists and cutting edge genomic research.

Key Responsibilities Include

  The scientist will analyze high throughput sequencing data for detection of tumor heterogeneity and subclonal populations using WGS, as well as subclonal phenotype and pathway activity using single cell sequencing data.
He/she will assist with managing, analyzing, and interpreting genomics data from patient cohorts in order to understand why cancer progresses with resistant tumor clones that emerge during therapy.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development data workflow processes and pipelines.
He/she will also have the opportunity to assist in training investigators and new users to use bioinformatics applications and databases.
