Job Description:
Senior Consultant - Healthcare Analytics: EGL Genetic Diagnostics LLC, Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for Senior Consultant - Healthcare Analytics for its opening at Atlanta, Georgia, to perform business analytics and develop tools for strategic needs of molecular genetics laboratory using Lean or Six Sigma; Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on data and market knowledge; Utilize several business intelligence tools to assist in analyzing clinical and financial health of laboratory; Conduct quantitative analysis of large scale utilization and cost data to research and investigate key problems; Provide insight to management into clinical test utilization and reimbursements utilization; Providing business performance evaluation to management; Oversee project management for tools that aid in operational improvements of laboratory; Identify & define key Performance Indicators & metrics – financial, operational and service level that are linked and aligned with organizational strategic goals and performance targets set by senior leadership; Develop & institute measurement systems to capture pre-defined key performance indicators from the business; Facilitating & generate KPI reports for senior leadership to assess business health as well as success of improvement efforts; Utilize several business intelligence tools to assist in analyzing clinical and financial health; Conduct quantitative analysis of financial, operational and service level data to research and investigate key business problems; Direct the development and execution of analytical and/or research activities to provide senior leadership with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning, health care utilization and costs, reimbursement projects and issues, client patterns and variations, trends and forecasting, data and informatics needs, emerging technologies; Collaborate with business units to advance the company’s reporting capabilities and improve accuracy of data; Maintain relationships with and provide reporting & analytical support to business units and support cross-functional projects.

Requires a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Genetics, or related degree and 3 years of experience in genetic data analysis in a clinical setting. Must possess 2 years of experience conducting business analysis in a healthcare setting. Must possess training in LEAN or Six Sigma. Must possess 1 year of experience in operations, workflow and cost analysis.
