Job Description:
We are looking for people to help us design, develop, and optimize innovative technology capable of processing complex genomics data in the Microsoft Azure cloud. If you have experience programming multi-threaded, concurrent, and distributed applications, are familiar with AVX and GPU acceleration techniques, and like to have your work used and leveraged by people who are leaders in their field, we may be looking for you!

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a software development role
  • 5+ years of experience with C++, C# .NET, and Java
  • 5+ years of experience optimizing and debugging low-level C++ and Java code
  • 5+ years of experience working with code profilers, tracing libraries, and performance measurement tools
  • BS in computer science (or equivalent)
Preferred Experience:
  • Expertise in performance optimization, including familiarity with AVX and GPU acceleration techniques
  • Experience working with and contributing to Open Source projects
  • Experience with Agile and iterative development processes, e.g. Scrum or Kanban
  • Attention to details and passion for high quality, performant, reliable software
  • Ability to thrive on small, dynamic teams
  • Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and/or natural language processing a plus
  • Prior exposure to Big Data, Cloud, HPC (including cluster computing frameworks like Spark) a plus
  • Experience building and deploying large-scale data management and distributed data processing systems a plus
  • Experience with computational biology or bioinformatics a plus
