Job Description:
The Senior Workforce Data Scientist is responsible for executing on projects and initiatives that support and accelerate the growth of the Employer Services division of Equifax Workforce Solutions. The Senior Workforce Data Scientist is a member of the Human Capital & Talent Analytics team, part of the Workforce Solutions Data & Analytics organization, which is driving the development and delivery of differentiated high-value analytical products and solutions for our Employer Services customers.

The focus of the Workforce Solutions Data & Analytics organization is to harness the collective power of our vast data assets, state of the art systems, and advanced analytics to generate actionable insights for our business and customers. The Senior Workforce Data Scientist will help drive the design and development of a host of innovative customer-facing people analytics solutions, allowing Equifax to further differentiate its offerings in this space while driving new value for our customers through innovative benchmarking and insights solutions.

Key Deliverables:

  • Perform exploratory data analysis, mining Equifax's vast data assets for significant patterns and insights
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to develop scalable products and solutions that help our Employer Services customers better understand their talent and navigate workforce challenges
  • Creatively translate ambiguous workforce questions and problem statements into testable hypotheses for which relevant and actionable insights can be surfaced
  • Execute advanced analytics that yield interpretable results and issue nontrivial imperatives for Employer Services customers
  • Deploy expertise in data storytelling to facilitate understanding when communicating complex results to varied audiences
  • Collaborate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor performance and outcomes
Who You Are (Requirements):
  • 7+ years of broad experience in big data/analytics required
  • 5+ years' experience with implementing data wrangling/munging solutions
  • 3+ years' experience with people/workforce analytics preferred
  • Ability to creatively translate vast raw data assets into viable, scalable and valuable talent analytics solutions
  • Proficient in Tableau or comparable data visualization tool
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design algorithms, which may include data cleaning, mining, clustering and subsequent visualization and analytics
  • Proficient in one or more statistical computing languages, such as Python, R, SAS, etc.
  • Proficient in SQL, with experience in distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, etc.
  • Experience in multivariate statistical methods such as GLM, longitudinal analysis, classification, dimension reduction, clustering, hierarchical linear (random effects) modeling
  • Experience in machine learning, text mining and experience modeling high-dimensional data
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Education: MS/PhD in a field where the research/quantitative methods have direct applicability to people research in organizations (e.g., quantitative psychology, economics, political science, sociology, bioinformatics/biostatistics, computational neuroscience, operations research, statistics, data science, management science, etc.)
