Job Description:
This position will be part of a team conducting verification and validation testing of web-based enterprise applications, including front end and back end testing. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing, executing and maintaining software test plans. Also, will manually test software, following test instructions in a test document. May also write automated tests or unit test as directed. Will communicate daily with Software Development Team. Additionally, they must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to software testing. Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Understand, implement, and manage the Agile Test Strategy
- Work with Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done.
- Measuring and reporting test coverage across all applicable coverage dimensions
- Ensuring proper use of testing tools
- Configuring, using, and managing test environments and test data
- Writing and executing automated checks and reporting back to the team
- Reporting defects and working with the team to resolve them
- Participate in test automation tools, methodology & best practices training
- Responsible for E2E orchestration of test cases for parallel test execution in CICD pipeline
- Create in-sprint optimized automated scripts along with automate test data and environment configurations to meet targets, following established standards for creation, storage, and version control.
- Participate in code reviews of automated scripts and supporting components / data / configuration.
- Coaching other team members in relevant aspects of testing
- Ensuring the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during release and iteration planning
- Actively collaborating with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness
- Participating proactively in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- 5+years of related experience is required
- Previous experience implementing Agile Test Strategy
- Prior web testing experience required
- Strong technical skills demonstrated by experience with programming or scripting languages that support our tests
- Proven technical skills, to include coding and scripting
