Job Description:
The Jaffe Lab at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development (LIBD) is recruiting a Staff Scientist I in Bioinformatics/Data Science/Computational Biology preferably with previous experience working in human genetics and genomics in postmortem, animal, and cellular data. This position primarily involves processing and integrating large-scale genomics datasets into ongoing institute-wide projects. The successful applicant will use these data to create databases and tools to benefit Lieber Institute researchers. The scientist will be committed to a common mission, a team effort, and collaborations across academia and industry. Minimum Qualifications:

- BA/BS in computer science, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Minimum of ten years related experience.
- Proficiency in Linux, and at least one low-level language (e.g. C++, Java, etc)
- Proficiency in database management
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
