Job Description:
The ARCCIM, Faculty of Health, UTS was recently awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project Grant to examine health care utilisation amongst women with a range of chronic illnesses under the leadership of Professor Jon Adams and Professor David Sibbritt.

The Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM) at the University Technology Sydney is the premier national research-intensive centre providing world-class expertise and leadership in complementary health care research. ARCCIM has developed a broad program of empirical research drawing upon rigorous methods and perspectives from across public health and health services research to investigate topics such as complementary medicine use, practice and policy in women’s health, rural health, ageing care and chronic illness amongst others. ARCCIM is the only Centre in Australia to house senior academic staff with prestigious government Fellowships (NHMRC and ARC) focused upon the critical examination of complementary medicine use, practice and policy. ARCCIM has attracted the largest program of external competitive funding (<$10M) including NHMRC and ARC grants for research into complementary medicine in Australia to date.

We are currently seeking an energetic and forward thinking Postdoctoral Research Associate to help contribute to our public health and health services research program on this topic. The ideal applicant will have a PhD in public health, epidemiology, health services research, health social science, biostatistics or other relevant area, with experience in designing and conducting high-quality critical public health and/or health services research.

In addition, the right candidate will have a demonstrated capacity for achieving impressive research and publication outcomes and will have a demonstrated ability in applying rigorous quantitative and/or qualitative methods to the empirical study of health and health care. Salary Range: $79,119 to $92,755 pa

The university offers 17% employer provided superannuation and salary packaging opportunities. This appointment will be on a Fixed Term Full Time basis for a period of 18 months with the possibility of extension.
