we are seeking a scientist that will support the CBB Unit computationally to bridge the gap between imaging and molecular understanding of biological systems, combining image and bio-informatics. The candidate will develop and implement computational resources for the Unit, including web-based tools for recurrent bioinformatic analysis and reagent design tasks, custom databases for management and dissemination of data as well as data analysis workflows for using EMBL’s high performance compute cluster. The candidate will furthermore develop new methods for data mining using supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, with a special focus on multidimensional imaging data from dynamic biological systems and their integration with more standard sequence based data types.
