Job Description:
An established genomics organisation specialising in providing world-class genetics research solutions to leading clinical and academic research institutions has an opportunity within their thriving Computational Biology team. This role is ideally suited to a talented Bioinformatics/Computational Biology professional, with an excellent academic record and particular expertise with NGS. This organisation is renowned for high levels of employee satisfaction, offering exciting projects. beautiful open offices, flexible working hours and great benefits package. Candidate profile: -A PhD in Bioinformatics, or a related field. -Expertise working with NGS data, and a strong understanding of NGS Analysis tools, such as BWA, the Tuxedo Suite and Samtools. -Highly knowledgeable in molecular biology. -Strong scripting skills in Perl or Python *Bioperl/Biopython would be advantageous. -Knowledge of R or Bioconductor. -Fantastic communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly to clinicians and research scientists.
