MAZING NEWS: We are getting a new Illumina HiSeq2500v4 system tomorrow. This sequencing system using the new Illumina version 4 chemistry will provide ~40% cost savings to our clients/collaborators and allow us to cut our run times by 1/2. Just 10 ago days, we identified the need, then raised the funds to purchase this $740,000 system, fast tracked it through purchasing, and it shipped two days ago. A huge thank you to our clients/collaborators that trusted us enough to help support this investment in the future of sequencing at A&M and the fantastic teams at Texas A&M AgriLife and Illumina that worked hard to make this happen.
