Job Description:
We are looking for the experienced biostatistician / bioinformatician to manage recently opened Bioinformatics unit. You will lead 2-3 biostatisticians, help to evaluate mouse phenotyping data and design Czech Centre for Phenogenomics data management. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience in multidisciplinary research, deep knowledge of statistical methods, proficiency in at least two computer languages, excellent communication skills, GTD minset and strong publication record. Previous experience in, genetic databases (Ensembl, UCSC, MGI), data analytical skills (R or Python) and advanced machine learning (e.g. deep neural networks) is advantageous. Previous experience with mouse genetics, metabolomics or other omics is also desirable. Conditions and benefits are negotiable. The position is available immediately as an initial fixed-term (1 year) contract, with longer term extension possible upon demonstrated proficiency.
