The Bioinformatics group is seeking highly motivated bioinformatician / computational biologist to perform bioinformatic data analysis and application development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment supporting clinical development programs with a focus on analyzing NGS sequencing data across a variety of therapeutic areas and contributing to analytical web application development. Essential Duties And Job Functions:
- Analyze large-scale genomic data, such as next-generation sequencing (Exome, Whole genome, RNA-seq, etc.) data from patient samples to support patient stratification and biomarker selection for multiple development programs.
- Develop bioinformatic software, analytical pipelines, and applications to visualize genomics results and make findings available to other research and development groups.
- Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, computer science, statistics, evolutionary biology or other related field.
- Familiar with Linux working environment and high performance computing.
- Experience in viral genomics and/or microbiome NGS analysis is a plus.
- Proficient in statistical data analysis of genomic data using R/Bioconductor.
- Experience in web/database development is a plus.
- Must be highly motivated, independent, and willing to learn.
- Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in computational biology
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Statistics
