Job Description:
Ideal Candidate is someone with 5+ years of extensive implementation strategies and hands on experience with Text analytics and natural language processing. Responsibilities: Utilize statistical natural language processing to mine unstructured data, and create insights; analyze and model structured data using advanced statistical methods and implement algorithms and software needed to perform analysesPerform text mining, Text Analytics, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data and identify patternsBuild document clustering, topic analysis, text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and part-of-speech tagging methods for unstructured and semi-structured dataCluster and analyze large amounts of user generated content and process data in large-scale environments using Storm, Hadoop and SparkDevelop and perform text classification using methods such as logistic regression, decision trees, support vector machines and maximum entropy classifiersDevelop methods to support and drive engagements focused on Big Data and Advanced Business Analytics, in diverse domains such as product development, marketing research, public policy, optimization, and risk management; Communicate results and educate others through reports and presentationsGoing beyond established analytical thinking and problem-solving by applying creativity to unconventional concepts and out-of-the-box solutionsAbility to quickly understand patterns within large quantity of data and to reference key characteristics using visualization techniquesDemonstrating strong programming skills in large-scale data analysis SQL and R (Required), Python and ScalaHadoop and MSSQL server experience preferredLeveraging strong math skills and statistical knowledge to advanced data mining and data analysis activitiesAnalysis, design, development, test, troubleshooting and documentation of complex data systems that may involve one or more of the following: predictive models, feature extraction, data-driven analysis, application of machine learning algorithms, text mining, decision support, variable selection and model fit.Create tools and processes to download data, parse it for relevant content, and store it in existing data management systems. Qualifications: years of professional experience working in Natural Language Processing or related fieldExperience with command-line scripting, data structures and algorithms and ability to work with processing large amounts of data in a Microsoft cloud environmentMasters degree or PhD from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Operations Research, or related fields (strong mathematical/statistics background with ability to understand algorithms and methods from a mathematical viewpoint and an intuitive viewpoint)Strong data extraction and processing preferred

- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
