Specific responsibilities include:· Apply and develop data processing pipelines to analyze genomic datasets.· Develop statistical and machine learning approaches to combine information from diverse data types and prior knowledge derived from related experiments and biological databases.· Analyze process data and controls to monitor laboratory procedures.· Work with the QA function on corrective actions and investigations.· Participate in the development and validation of new assays.· Develop Statistical Process Control (SPC) processes. Required qualifications:· Masters/PhD Degree in bioinformatics, computer science, applied mathematics, or relevant quantitative scientific discipline.· Experience analyzing high-throughput genomics data, including gene expression, genotyping, microRNA profiling and epigenetics· Experience with microarrays, qPCR, RT-qPCR, nCounter, and/or Next Generation Sequencing data required.· Strong programming skills in a high level language such as Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, or Java.· Experience working with complex biological datasets is highly desired, as is knowledge of basic statistical methods.
