Job Description:
The GeneSeek Data Group is currently seeking candidates for a Data Analyst 1 position. The ideal candidate will possess a science based degree with a general understanding of animal science and genomics. Candidates must have the ability to learn and integrate unique software programs with common laboratory protocols. Special consideration to candidates with experience in SQL and Java as well as experience in customer support or product management. The selected candidate will be responsible for quality control, report generation and customer support from an international customer base. The position is ideal for those who thrive in a fast paced environment. Complete training will be provided. Education and/or Experience: BS degree in life sciences discipline such as Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics, etc. is required. Training in data formatting (i.e. excel) and statistics and/or previous experience with PERL or R is a plus
