Next generation sequencing (NGS) produces large quantities of data, requiring highly efficient data analysis pipelines. To meet the challenges imposed by our rapidly expanding diagnostic services, we are now looking for a Data Analyst with interest and experience in the field of bioinformatics. Job Description As a Data Analyst, you act as a spider in our web – you work at the intersection of our laboratories and the Analysis Tools team. Your responsibility is to support R&D and the production lab with their data analysis needs. Your everyday work includes analyzing DNA sequencing data and reporting analysis metrics. You enjoy drilling down into the data to troubleshoot sequencing experiments, and comparing and benchmarking different experimental conditions. You are a skilled communicator and quick to report results to various stakeholders, including the lab, production department, and geneticists. Qualifications: You should have an MSc in Bioinformatics or related field. Work experience in NGS data analysis projects is valued. You understand the molecular basis of DNA sequencing. In addition, you possess excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. Experience with one or more of the following technologies is considered an asset:
