Job Description:
Have an interest in Healthcare data Orlando Health is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Data Analyst to join their Enterprise Analytics department. This individual will participate on an exclusive team working together to develop, provide and maintain a “state of the art” analytics platform. This platform will be the single source of truth for all departments throughout Orlando Health for master data management and data governance needs. This individual will work with the owners of the source systems and coordinate all activities for data extraction, data validation and maintenance of documentation. They will also be responsible for coordinating other activities through delivery to the end user. Experience with BI tools, in particular Qlikview is required

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, bioinformatics, medical technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Proficient with a variety of data analysis, management, and visualization tools (e.g. MS-Excel, MS-Access, Qlikview).
Licensure/Certification: Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIAMA) or equivalent required.

Experience:

Seven (7) years of healthcare provider experience in healthcare, to include:

• Solid understanding of healthcare data and healthcare IT

• Strong data management and data analysis background and experience

• Consulting (internal or external) experience

• General knowledge of healthcare provider hospital operations

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with medical staff and hospital management

• Proven grasp of methods of data analysis and management and ability to explain the scope, limitations, and relative merit of such methods

• Proven understanding of how to display visual information effectively and in a manner targeted to a specific audience

• Proven understanding of clinical quality indicators, to include core measures and patient safety indicators

• Proficiency in researching and using comparative databases

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with and among all levels of team members and management.
