Job Description:
Joshi group is seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician as a postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. This position is funded by Roslin Institute Strategic Grant Funding from the BBSRC and will focus on the development of novel methods and pipelines for unravelling epigenetic and transcription control features from multi-omics data. Specific areas of interest include prediction of regulatory elements in farm animals, understanding vertebrate development at a single cell level. This position requires a very strong background in programming. A PhD degree in bioinformatics or computational science is essential and previous experience in working with large-scale omics data is a plus. This position requires providing bioinformatics support to the other experimental groups within the developmental biology division at the Roslin institute. It is therefore desired that the candidate can work together with experimental biologists on large-scale omics data. Understanding of mammalian epigenetic and transcription control is desired.
