Job Description:
The Senior Product Manager – Rare Disease Diagnostics will lead and grow our P&L-focused Product Management function for rare disease diagnostics applications across the globe. With functional partners like User Experience, Marketing, R&D and more, the main goal of this role is to drive adoption and sales for our rare disease product portfolio. Responsibilities and Duties: · Frame and drive the P&L for the rare disease diagnostics product portfolio · Define pricing strategy, product messaging, positioning and configuration to ensure performance versus business goals are met · Drive the commercialization and go-to-market of all offerings · Lead cross functional teams including User Experience, R&D, commercial, business development, project management and alliance partners to drive toward best business decisions and optimize IRR · Understand reimbursement strategies and leverage them to create profitable product offerings · Conduct continuous competitive monitoring to define trends and strategically evaluate new market opportunities · Act as the chief evangelist for the product portfolio · Lead cross functional meetings and provide updates to executive-level committees · Passionate about “outside-in”, market-driven, and user-driven decision-making, this individual will focus on collaboration with customers and key opinion leaders to develop proof-of-concept data and penetrating key application area Qualifications and Skills: · MS or PhD degree in molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmacology, or equivalent is required; with additional MBA preferred · Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in product management for clinical and/or regulated products, including data analysis software. NGS and Bioinformatics experience preferred · Previous experience with rare disease diagnostics, population genomics or similar is a definite plus · Demonstrated experience running the P&L for a product line or business area · Customer focused with a deep understanding and command of molecular diagnostics. Intimate knowledge of customer requirements and competitive offerings · Ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences required · A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and organizational skills who can drive the translation of strategy into execution with direct and cross functional teams · Existing network and relationships (scientific and business) within hospitals, population genomics consortia,biopharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders worldwide · Experience in working with worldwide customers · Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead effectively with sales and marketing professionals, technology leaders, UX leaders, and other key stakeholders · The willingness to take risks and fail fast · Ability to travel extensively (~50%) Job Type: Full-time Required education: Master's Required experience: Product Management: 10 years
