- Apply bioinformatics tools to identify genes, pathways and enzyme families.
- Model protein structures.
- Apply biostatistics and bioinformatics algorithms to target and interpret data.
- Partner with scientists across the organization to use genomics and proteomics to drive efficient and effective enzyme development.
- Develop internal, research grade bioinformatics analysis methods and pipelines.
- Expertise in applying bioinformatics tools to perform targeted data mining and data analysis.
- Deep knowledge of both academic and commercial bioinformatics solutions.
- Deep understanding of protein expression and production in bacterial, yeast, or fungal systems required.
- Understanding of fermentation and fermentation processes is a plus.
- Experience designing and developing research grade bioinformatics next generation sequencing data analysis solutions.
- Experience with protein modeling and structure analysis.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced environment, both independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 5%.
