Tulane University’s Center for Aging Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Core is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral bioinformatician with background in bioinformatics, biostatistics, or other related field. In addition to collaborative research on biology of healthy aging and publication of research progresses, the position requires appropriate bioinformatics support for investigators who are seeking answers to biologically important questions. This position will provide ample opportunity to interact with investigators in various biomedical fields and advance one’s expertise and career. The Core is equipped with state-of-the-art high-throughput sequencing instruments. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY: 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others. 3. Fluency with at least one general-purpose programming language (such as C/C++ or Python), and one language for scientific computing (such as R or MATLAB). 4. Solid analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. 5. Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task, and prioritize work assignments. 6. Must be able to work well independently and demonstrate proficient problem solving skills. 7. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: Ph.D. in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer sciences or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-throughput data analysis and familiarity with various genomic databases and software tools, especially for microarray and next-generation sequencing data analyses, are preferred.Requeriments :
