Job Description:
The candidate summer intern will work in a dynamic research driven environment, in support or early-stage and/or proof-of-concept research projects that hope to one day address serious unmet medical needs. Projects will be matched with the candidate’s skills and interests, but may include efforts centered on protein engineering, design, purification, characterization, and/or computational modelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will be defined by the candidate’s skills and interests, but may include at least one of the following below.

  • Analysis of protein structures and sequences using computational software
  • Rational design, molecular engineering of proteins
  • Protein purification and/or biophysical characterization
EXPERIENCE

Required Skills:

Some experience within an academic or industrial laboratory setting, with emphasis on at least one of the below skills.

  • protein purification and/or
  • biophysical characterization of proteins and/or
  • structural biology and/or
  • computational in silico modeling/docking/design and/or
  • bioinformatics analysis of protein sequences and/or
  • molecular dynamics simulations
EDUCATION:
  • B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Biophysics, Chemical Biology, Bioinformatics, or related discipline.
  • Student must be returning to school in Fall of 2018
WORK SCHEDULE : 40 hours/week
