This position is responsible for assisting research scientists in their tasks relating to the development of new imaging capabilities in projects relating to general radiological research, image texture analysis and artificial intelligence as well as for contributing to other activities that support the Research and Development Department’s operational goals. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Design and manage software to assist in the conduct of clinical research studies including, but not limited to industry sponsored and grant funded research and/or clinical trials.
- Perform a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, analysis, and documentation of imaging research data.
- Develop robust algorithms to automate complex tasks
- Review of study files periodically for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare, handle, distribute, file, and archive clinical documentation and reports.
- Effectively communicate project related information.
- Understand and comply with research protocol guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with the day-to-day activities of technical support staff as needed, including performing aspects of research protocol, as appropriate.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external teams including physicians.
- Perform departmental administrative tasks as needed.
- Minimal local travel required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must have, or be currently pursuing a college degree in computer science, radiology, medicine, bioinformatics, or a science degree such as physics, chemistry or biology.
- Experience with Python libraries including NumPy, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, and Scikit-Learn preferred.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy.
- Knowledge in calculus and statistics.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
