Job Description:
Applicants should possess Ph.D. degree in computational biology, systems biology or relevant areas (e.g. statistics and probability, big data analysis, mathematical biology, bioinformatics, algorithms and computer science, discrete mathematics, biophysics, structural biology, genetics, molecular biology) and a notable publication record. You should have strong research skills and publications' record, especially in the areas of genome & transcriptome data analysis, computational biology, statistical bioinformatics, RNA and DNA biology, cancer genomics and systems biology. Good programming experience (e.g. C/C++, R, SQL, and website and database experience) and experience in experimental studies is a plus. Possible projects might be focus on NGS and microarray data analysis, advanced statistical and computational algorithms, cancer genomics and systems biology, modelling and prediction of complex networks, single cell genome analysis, ncRNAs, DNA-RNA-protein interactions, non-canonical nucleic acid structures, identification and validation of biomarkers, We are looking for a candidate who is independent-minded, can be a leader and willing to collaborate with experimental groups, clinicians and industry partners. The job scope includes: • Recruit and lead a research group • Provide PhD student’ training and, to a minor degree, of MSc students. The position provides a three-year renewable contract with competitive benefits.
