My client is a leading life sciences information consultancy, and are seeking a Research Scientist, Bioinformatics position based out of their London office. This role will see you working with clients on advanced statistical and functional analysis of Omics data and working on the research and development of personalized medicine technology and solutions.Responsibilities of this role will include: *Working with Omics, Microarray, NGS, HTS, Proteomics and Metabolomics data *Performing and assisting clients in the statistical analysis, retrieval, integration and annotation of this data *Performance of pathway and network analyses *Application of bioinformatics tools and platforms, as well as developing and implementing new techniques and approaches to address scientific questions and publishing this in scientific journals *Have a direct input into strategy and participate in some business development activities Candidates for this role should possess: *Must have a PhD in Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Statistics or a related field *A minimum of 3 years' experience in a bioinformatics or computational biology role within an industry setting *Strong experience in R is required, whilst MatLab would be advantageous *Experience in scripting languages such as Perl or Python, as well as SQL *Experience in Microarray, NGS data and machine learning *Good scientific knowledge in molecular biology and human genetics, knowledge of normal and pathological signalling pathways would be an avantage I am recruiting for a number of positions within Informatics, Statistics, Programming and Data Management, so if you are interested in this role or any of the others we are currently recruiting for, please apply for a more detailed chat about the role and your own career requirements.
