Bayer: Science For A Better Life Job description As an application manager you will be the global representative of the Technology Platform Group within the crop group Wheat. You will be in charge of supporting the breeding teams in Wheat in data management by: • Keeping existing applications within the breeding department up and running• Coordinating, directing, managing and executing the training and support of users • Supplying and maintaining tools (hardware and software) for collection of phenotypic data and for generation of field labels • Working in the crop team on occasional crop-related work. • Being super key user of Prism • Being the functional analyst, ensuring that all crop requirements are understood, documented, and implemented in systems which are built and rolled out Your qualifications You have ideally obtained an MSc degree in Agriculture or Biological Sciences with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in database technologies (Oracle, MS-Access, database connectivity) and reporting tools. An experience in breeding applications and practical experience in plant breeding, specifically in Wheat is a plus. You are able to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate communication skills to work in a team environment. You have interpersonal skills, a sense of analysis and documentation and you are capable of negotiating and solving problems. An excellent level of speaking and writing English and French is necessary. Knowledge of MS-Office is needed.
