Reporting to the Center Director: PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of the Bioinformatics Lead will include, but are not limited to: • Analysis of Raw Data, including DNA sequencing data, ChIP seq, RNA-seq, Array Data, MicroRNA Data, Proteomics • Provide bioinformatics expertise to the design of projects • Work with Alan D'Andrea, MD and interact with investigators and scientific and technical staff within and external to the Center • Interact with external/industry collaborators • Assist with the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications • Present data at scientific meetings as needed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Potential for supervisory responsibilities of additional bioinformatics staff MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in bioinformatics, preferably in the area of nucleic acid analysis and/or oncology KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Experience designing and executing a preclinical strategy • Prior experience with project management • Experience leading a team, preferably a multi-disciplinary team • Ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of individuals from trainees to senior leaders in both academia and industry • A strong record of scientific excellence and a willingness to apply knowledge and skills to cancer research • Highly organized and self-motivated • Outstanding communication and leadership skills Schedule Monday-Friday 8:30 - 5:00 How to Apply Please apply directly online at http://www.dana-farber.org/Careers/Careers-at-Dana-Farber.aspx.
