Role and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities include analyzing Next-gen Sequencing (NGS) data, developing bioinformatics pipelines, supporting the clinical reporting team, and assisting R&D in developing new assays. The candidate must be currently living in USA.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related discipline is required, PhD is a plus.
* Familiar with molecular biology, biological pathways, and genomics
* Experience in Illumina sequencing data and bioinformatics pipelines
* Proficiency in the use of bioinformatics software, packages, and database
* Proficiency with Perl, Python, R, bash, C/C++, java, and/or SQL in Linux/Unix environment
* Strong skills in the application of statistical analytical methods in genetic data analysis
* Excellent time management as well as oral and written communication skills
*Ability to quickly and effectively operate, communicate and influence decision making within cross-functional and multi-disciplinary clinical genetics team.
