Job Description:
The Department of Pathology at the University of Chicago, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN CLINICAL TRANSLATIONAL MASS SPECTROMETRY/CLINICAL CHEMISTRY. The successful candidate will engage in clinical proteomics and targeted quantitative development and validation studies on relevant proteins, drugs, hormones and other metabolites derived from blood, biological fluids and tissues. Other duties include maintaining LC MS/MS instruments and utilization of proteomic and bioinformatics databases/software for analyses and interpretation of protein/peptide data. A PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related biomedical science is required. Prior experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry with a focus on proteomics and metabolomics is highly desirable, as is experience with bioinformatics software tools.
