Postdoctoral positions in computational biologySchool of Medicine, Wayne State UniversityCenter for Molecular Medicine and GeneticsUnited States-MI Two postdoctoral positions in computational structural biology are available immediately in the lab of Dr. Tseng at Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics (CMMG), School of Medicine. One of research projects focuses on molecular dynamic simulations in the proteins involved in lipolysis. The other focuses on somatic mutations on protein binding surfaces and protein-protein interfaces. The successful applicants will develop research projects while having the good opportunity to engage in collaborations with both computational and experimental biologists.  Applicants for the positions must have a MD/ PhD degree or equivalent in one of the following fields: Computational Biology, Physics, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, Biochemistry or in a related field. He or she must have a strong background in quantitative science, and proficient programming skills in C/C++, Shell scripts or Fortran. Detailed knowledge of biological macro-molecules is a plus. Candidates who have strong biochemistry background and like to be exposed to bioinformatics are also encouraged to apply (http://pocket.med.wayne.edu/ytseng/job2.html).
