Icahn Genomics and Multiscale Biology Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine invites application for a research scientist position (or at the level of postdoctoral fellow depending on experience) to work on computational biology/biomedical data science research. The group focuses on developing novel computational methods to best leverage the big biomedical data generated at Mount Sinai and existed in the public domain. Our goal is to invent new solutions for the big data era challenges (including genetic, genomic and clinical data) and the highly anticipated precision medicine initiative.Candidates with recent PhD degree in computational biology and bioinformatics, computer science, statistics or related majors are encouraged to apply. Solid computer programming, statistical, and machine learning skills are desirable. Previous experience in large data handling including gene expression, NGS, GWA analysis and predictive modeling is preferred. We provide highly competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
