Job Description:
Our computational biology group, which is part of the Biozentrum and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, is composed of experimental and theoretical scientists that combine experiments with computational modeling and data analysis to study gene regulation. In this project we are especially interested in the relationship between food intake and metabolism on the rate of aging. The candidate will also work closely with the experimental groups to integrate the
high-throughput data and generate testable predictions. We are looking for candidates with at least basic knowledge of molecular biology and a strong quantitative background, i.e. in computer science, computational biology/bioinformatics, physics or mathematics. Candidates should have experience in programming, preferably in a scripting language like Perl or Python and experience with high-throughput data analysis.
