Independent Group Leader Computational Biology Candidates are expected to conduct independent research in genome biology, functional genomics or gene regulation, with a focus on developing methods for the analysis and integration of high-dimensional biological data and on modelling complex biological systems. The group will be embedded in the stimulating, interdisciplinary environment of the Graduate School for Quantitative Biosciences Munich (QBM), which integrates approaches ranging from biochemistry, molecular systems biology, synthetic biology, and biophysics to bioinformatics and theoretical biophysics. The candidate should have an outstanding record of internationally recognized research, strong experience in collaborating with experimentalists and a profound interest in interdisciplinary interaction. The position is for five years, starting in mid-2016, and includes a financial package providing startup funds and salaries for at least three positions in addition to the group leader position. The group will be housed in the new Research Center for Molecular Biosystems (BioSysM) at the life sciences campus Grosshadern/Martinsried. The LMU seeks to increase the number of women in faculty positions and especially invites qualified women to apply. The LMU offers a Dual Career Service.
