Postdoc in Systems Biology/Bioinformatics
We are expecting candidates with Biology of Bioinformatics background with strong experience in bibliography, and with specialist knowledge in cellular and molecular biology, ideally in the domain of GPCR signaling. His/Her role will be, in a first period, tp participate in the implementation of the annotation process in tight collaboration with the PhD student of the LI. In a second period, he/she will select a corpus of publications and extract new knowledge from the items identified by the method.

Shortlist Add to shortlist Apply Within the Biosystemics project, we are looking for a person with a PhD thesis for a one-year position. The objective is to adapt and use techniques of Natural Language Processing (annotation through Unitex graphs cascades), presently exploited in the Istex project by a PhD student. The recognition of named entities will be used to extract individually cited experiments within scientific papers. This will allow, from a very large corpus of publications, to create a catalogue of experiments. The first part of the work will be a role of expert in the biological domain to work with an expert in information mining. In a second part, a corpus of publications concerning the role of ß-arrestins in G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) signaling will be analyzed using the new method, and exploited in order to discover new elements within this pathway.We are expecting candidates with Biology of Bioinformatics background with strong experience in bibliography, and with specialist knowledge in cellular and molecular biology, ideally in the domain of GPCR signaling.
