Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or related fields, with proficiency in Linux/UNIX, PERL, R/MatLab and database systems. Knowledge of statistics is required. Experience with RNA research is a strong plus. Postdoctoral Fellow in RNA Bioinformatics Rutgers UniversityUSA-NJ-Newark We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatics/computational biology postdoctoral fellow to study RNA genomics in cancers and stem cells. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with experimental scientists and has the opportunity to design and execute his/her own experiments. Our lab uses molecular and systems approaches to study mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation, such as alternative polyadenylation, mRNA degradation, localization, and translation.
