Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – High Dimensional Single-Cell Data Analysis Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research CenterVaccines and Infectious Disease DivisionUSA-WA-Seattle Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, home of three Nobel laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research to eliminate cancer and other potentially fatal diseases. A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division (VIDD) of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), Seattle, WA. The successful applicant will work with Dr. Raphael Gottardo to develop statistical and computational methods for analyzing and integrating high dimensional single-cell data generated by cutting-edge technologies including multiplexed qPCR, single-cell RNA-seq and CyTOF. He/She will also work with immunologists to apply these tools to characterize-antigen specific T- and B-cells and help define their roles in protective immunity. The FHCRC provides a highly interactive and supportive environment for junior investigators to grow and develop their future career; it consistently ranks in the top 20 best places to work for postdocs, as surveyed by The Scientist.
Job Qualifications:
Suitable applicants should have a recent PhD degree in statistics/biostatistics, computer science, or other fields with strong quantitative training or experience and ideally a strong biology background. Strong programming skills in C/C++, R or similar languages are required. Previous experience with genomics or immunological data analyses is a plus.
