Applications are invited for an IT Project Manager and Developer for CORBEL to work with the Instruct Operation team within the Division of Structural Biology, working on the contractual deliverable of workpackage 5 of Corbel, an EU-funded Research and Innovation Action. We are looking for a motivated candidate with an academic background and an interest in developing the skills to manage projects independently. The role requires creative thinking, excellent developer and communication skills in an international environment and a ‘can-do’ philosophy. You will contribute to the planning and development of an integrative single entry point solution for 13 European research infrastructures to offer access to their resources in a cross-platform model. You will co-ordinate with both the developer of the Instruct web-based systems and the technical teams of other related projects. You will have a Master of Science in Computational and Molecular Biology (Bioinformatics) with an interest in computer sciences including practical experience in web design and functionality, website development skills in PHP using current web technologies and Drupal7 development experience. You will have knowledge and experience of using SQL and command-line Linux. You will have excellent communications skills, manage user support efficiently and appropriately and be competent to deliver both written and oral presentations. The position is fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance and funded by Instruct Academic Services Ltd. Please quote reference 122954 on all correspondence.
