Institute for Health Sciences

The Institute for Health Sciences, which is recognised for high quality biomedical and translational research and its impact on patient care in Northern Ireland, nationally and internationally, is a strategic priority of the University. Supported by national and international partners, the University has already invested over £100m in co-locating researchers in areas of established excellence.

As part of its continuing dynamic growth, the Institute is now inviting applications from outstanding individuals for appointment at Lecturer level.  We are, in particular, seeking candidates in the following scientific disciplines but we may also consider applicants in cognate fields which align with the Institute’s strategic priorities: Tumour Metastasis and Microenvironment (Immunology); Regulation of Protein Expression and Stabilisation; DNA Damage and Repair, Bioinformatics (Cancer and Infection Biology); Translational Functional Genomics; Epigenetics and Gene Expression; Mucosal Immunology; Global Health (with an interest in Non Communicable Disease); Public Health/Epidemiology (with an interest in Non Communicable Disease); Health Psychology/Behavioural Science; Respiratory Research.

Salary scale:             £38,896 - £50,702 per annum (including contribution points)
