Python/OOP Software Engineer – Ledgent Technology – San Diego, CA

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a large role in our distributed software efforts and will be in charge of micro-services integration within our current platform. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing new distributed processing services for reliability, performance and scale. You will also collaborate with our bioinformatics team to deliver the best possible end-user experience.

Required Skills

Expert in Object oriented programming using PythonExperience using Celery, Flask and DockerRESTful API design and implementationStrong understanding of microservice architectures - SOAExperience using version control systems such as GitTest driven developmentMust be proficient with at least one AMQP technology (RabbitMQ/ZeroMQ etc)

Desirable Skills:

Extensive experience with AWSSelf starter with enterprise system design

Required Experience

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of professional full time developer experience.Experience developing within Linux/Unix environments.6+ years of software engineering using Python, C/C++ or a comparable programming language.Professional background related to designing backend software systems.Demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with others.Comfortable with high degrees of freedom and responsibility.
