Job Description:
Verily Life Sciences is focused on shifting health care from a reactive, undifferentiated approach to a proactive, targeted approach by transforming the detection, prevention, management and even our basic understanding of disease.
Verily is seeking a research associate to establish and operate low input cell analysis platforms for internal and external research projects. The successful candidate will have prior hands-on experience isolating and profiling single and/or small numbers of cells, and have molecular biology expertise in PCR, DNA manipulation, RNA isolation, and library preparation for deep sequencing. You will play a crucial role supporting our efforts aimed at revolutionizing healthcare to be more proactive, preventative, and tailored to individuals.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot single cell isolation and analysis instrumentation
Execute complex molecular biology protocols in a robust and consistent manner
Keep accurate records of samples and processes in a LIMS system
Perform troubleshooting and testing of experimental workflows. Contribute to the dissemination of results
Support and maintain research inventory, calibrate instruments, and perform purchasing, record-keeping, and related administrative tasks
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree in the life sciences or engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with cell culture, single cell isolation techniques, and sequencing library preparation methods
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience working in a molecular biology or genomics laboratory
Experience with magnetic manipulation of nucleic acids and/or automation technologies
Understanding of bioinformatics pipelines for processing and interpreting sequencing data
Ability to multitask many projects at once
Enthusiasm, independence, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
