Intuit's Small Business Group Data Analytics & Science group is seeking an analytically minded and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a passion for data analytics within the Accountant segment. The Accountant segment is a fast-growing business with innovative desktop and SaaS products serving Intuit’s most important influencers. Primary responsibilities include analyzing end-to-end accountant marketing and sales data to understand opportunities to drive conversion, retention and attach opportunities for our key products and services. Data types for analysis include in-product data such as clickstream or user-entered data, web data, campaign response data, social/community data, as well as inputs from assisted support channels such as phone and chat. This role would also partner with the Web, Product and Accountant E2E Experience Analytics team members to deliver key insights to the business in order to drive growth and to improve upon key experiences for our Accountant partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and experienced in sharing analytical expertise, defining metrics for success and in creating consumable, actionable reporting and analysis. You should be familiar with Customer Relationship Management strategies to help Intuit build and maintain the customer loyalty that underpins our long-term revenue and profitability. The candidate should have experience in building and maintaining CRM metrics from customer data, e.g., Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Acquisition Costs, Churn Models, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a key participant to the success of the Small Business Accountant Segment, drive and contribute to decision-making in support of the critical priorities and overall Intuit Strategy
Lead projects to provide analytic insights that support our business clients’ needs to drive change. Utilize various analytical methods to provide all stakeholders with analysis, insight and direction that will move the needle on our key business metrics of success. Support your insights with a hypothesis-validation approach with an overall statistically driven framework
Understand and manage data in various forms and channels - marketing contact and response data, web data, sales data, webinar data, in-product data, purchasing history, etc. - both structured and unstructured. Conduct multi-channel sales and profitability analysis, lifetime value considerations, customer profiling, financial / ROI assessment that drive organic growth
Provide analyses to spot trends or assess the response of different campaigns on various customer groups. Correlate customer purchase history with exposure to marketing campaigns or frequency of sales calls, etc. to provide insight into campaign effectiveness. Make recommendations on relationship strategies for different categories of customers or for individual customers. Examples of this are recommending upsell/cross-sell programs based on likelihood of a particular segment to buy
Use your strong communication and presentation skills to identify the business problem or need, negotiate a proposed solution, execute the necessary programming and analytics, present the solution, and track and implement the solution. Be able to present complex solutions at appropriate levels depending upon the audience in question
Contribute to end-to-end problem-solving and strategic support for new business initiatives. Mentor fellow analysts and stakeholders on subject matter knowledge, self-service BI solutions and processes to ensure they are repeatable, sustainable and scalable. Make timely, effective decisions and seek out help to remove roadblocks which stand in the way of delivering against key priorities
Ability to work well with others through strong interpersonal skills and teamwork, not just at a social level, but by building bridges and confronting tough issues that need to be resolved.

Qualifications
5 years of relevant business experience
Advanced degree (preferred) in statistics, economics, mathematics, bioinformatics or other related field
Business programming experience in SQL and languages such as SAS, Perl, C++, R and/or big data languages such as Pig, Hive
Strong data visualization skills and experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlikview or Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos and Actuate. Tableau and/or Qlikview is a must
Communicates ideas or suggestions to colleagues within and outside BU or Function in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner. Use that communication to influence others to continually solve for the customer, employee, and shareholder
Experience utilizing a variety of basic and advanced predictive analytic tools and techniques including directed and undirected data mining and regression, time series analysis, and text analytics
Understanding of web analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst and Google Analytics
Strong oral, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate across all levels
Previous project, Organization, and time management skills
