The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancy in the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB): Postdoctoral researcher in human microbiomics – bioinformatics (m/f) Fixed-term contract 2 years, 40h/week, may be extended up to 5 years. Employee status (start date: as soon as possible) Ref. number: I1R-ENV-COM-110000 Area: Bioinformatic analysis of integrated omic data from human microbiomes. Your Role Development, implementation and application of bioinformatic solutions for the integration and analysis of metagenomic, metatranscriptomic, metaproteomic and metabolomic data. Implementation and continued development of user-friendly tools for genome-centric meta-omics. For further information, please contact: Prof. Dr. Paul Wilmes (E-mail: paul.wilmes@uni.lu) Your Profile A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Microbiology, Microbial Ecology or related disciplines. Solid experience in computer programming or scripting language commonly used in bioinformatics (Perl, Python, Java, R, etc.). Previous experience in bioinformatic analysis of mixed microbial communities or Systems Biology datasets will be considered assets. A good working knowledge of basic statistical concepts.
